Chanakya Cinema Hall is bang behind the embassy area and you can reach it from chanakyapuri and yashwant place via africa avenue. I left delhi in 2000 but from my visits to chanakya, it is the best value for money cinema hall.
Priya and PVR are too costly and Plaza and CP halls not as trendy as Chanakya.
Chanakya is dotted with eateries outside which are a wee bit costly.
Now to the main Cinema hall.
From my experience, I can say that AC in Chanakya works and you can feel it! The ticket rates do not sound like a ransom note and though on a higher side, the ambience does not make you feel that I have wasted the money. The Staff is a wee bit more friendly (read less hostile and less inconsiderate) than other trendy halls and it is spacious.
Whats more it has an outlet in CP (Connaught Place) to advance book tickets so you need not go all the way there for advance booking. Whosever brainchild was this deserves thanks.
