First of all a little bit about capgemini:
Capgemini Group Executive Committee consists of 18 members. Paul Hermelin serves as the Group Chairman and CEO. He joined Capgemini in 1993 and was appointed as its CEO in 2002. In May 2012, Hermelin became chairman and CEO of the Capgemini Group. He succeeded Serge Kampf, who served as the Vice Chairman of the Board until his death on March 15, 2016.
Now my experience:
I never work on Capgemini but my friend does. There is some good some bad like every company have.
Accordingly he Capgemini is positive.
Positive facts is you get very good flexibility to work.
Also work culture is good.
As Capgemini is having very strong network in almost 40 countries you get good opportunities to interact with different clients.
Good place to work but not an great salary & working hours got increased & charging for transport. There is a job satisfaction & management is good in capgemini.
Learning opportunities are more.
One of my senior working here today, he is in Capgenimi since he was fresher. He told me it is a good for fresher but if you have more experience then difficult to grow up in the ladder. To kick start as a fresher in Capgemini is like boost your career with multiple technical skills. One can Learn and develop on the software and testing skills working in agile model projects.
So Capgenimi is no doubt good for fresher candidate. At fresher level he got approximately 3.2L per annum. Now he is about 5yrs of experience. I had a little talk about his salary too. He got now-a-days approximately 5.3 lakh per annum.
From there point of view and I talk to some of my friend I came to know that:
Brand - Definitely a good brand being a French Company
Employee Growth - As per industry standards. We can say well. Again pretty much messed up and random. Because my known senior doesn’t grow much he could have get more salary in other company. But working satisfaction as environment is good.
Induction- Too good as our induction as a fresher
Work Culture - Great.
Onsite Opportunities - Very high but depending on project.
Projects - As a fresher one has to be after the resource manager for the first project but once he/she gets the first project then there is no looking back.
Trainings/Certification - Every week umpteen tranings and certification are carried on by the L&D which provides a learning opportunity to all the people who are not billable on projects.
Timings - Flexible depending upon the manager also.
Personal Development- A mentor is assigned to an individual in the beginning of the year for personal and preofessional development.
