I opened an account with Canara bank when i was a student. It was our neighbourhood Bank. With in a short time I got acquainted with all the staff members of the Bank. My father also had an account with
the Bank and I used to go to the bank to transact my fathers account. The staff were very friendly and in fact when one of my relatives got an admission into an university in USA and was in dire need of an education loan, i approached the bank and the bank came to his rescue and sanctioned a loan within 2 days. He still remembers this and is still maintaining an account with the Bank even though he no longer resides in the same area.
One morning I was really surprised to see a new look Canara Bank with its new logo. I was surprised to see a public sector Bank going in for a Brand building exercise. There are rave reviews about this new logo. Some are cynical about this complaining about the service and technology. I personally feel that one has to wait before passing on any judgement. The bank says We change for our loved ones. Change cannot happen overnight. It is a conitnuous process .I think at Canara Bank the process has started and one has to wait for the result.
