It was last month while I was in New Delhi for work and I needed to make a demand draft urgently.
I walked in to the nearest branch of canara bank near delhi university. I put my request and filled the slip. Stood in a long queue and when it was my turn I was told that they would not make the DD as I was from Mumbai and it was not my home branch.That is so weird!
This only shows unprofessional behaviour and lazy nature of the employees.
I pleaded to them and spoke to the manager and that is when they finally agreed to help me with the DD.
They again made me wait for 45 minutes and after that they took their lunch break! And there I was left waiting for one more hour! Is this how they are supposed to treat a customer?
I was paying them the required fees and not taking it for free! I am disgusted at the nature of their work and the careless attitude. the employees were giggling and cracking jokes among themselves and the customers was left helpless.
Totally unacceptable from a big old organisation like Canara Bank. I told myself that I would never ever go back to this bank in future and also discourage others from doing so. Bad Bank!
