Story:

The story of Buck, a strong willed, tough, survivor dog, is told in Jack London's book "Call of the Wild". The adventure begins on a sunny estate. But not one chapter into the book, Buck is taken from his home and turned over to "the man in the red sweater".

This man beats the dog to break him in, or to teach him to respect humans. He is then turned over to two owners named Francious and Perrault who are skilled in dog sledding. The team of dogs and masters travel hundreds of miles until Buck is yet again transferred to another group of owners. Hal, Mercedes, and Charles are all related so obviously tension begins to build in the Alaskin tundra. The three think they know everything there is to know but as they quickly learn, they are far from right. The last owner that Buck works for is John Thorton. As the story progresses, Thorton and Buck saves each others lives over and over again. Through of their struggles and loses, the two stick together only because of their love for one another. the two build a strong bond and treat each other as family.

The story teaches a lot about wild animals and their relationship with humans. Some of the characters are not from America so the dialoge can be hard to follow. The constant twists and turns provide suspense and keep the reader on their toes. I would recommend the book to any reader that likes a  classic adventure, animals in the wild, and a suspensful novel all packed into one.
