Lots of engineering colleges... comparably good... structurally fit... but NIT calicut stands ahead in the fight to get IIT standard...

As a student of this college for the past 2 years... being a post graduate scholar... I feel that I am rather fit to give my opinions... Nice place to live... gods own country... kerala! Calicut - the business centre & a place of educational interest. IIMK, NITC, govt. Medical college... lot more. But the location, life & infrastructure of NIT calicut is quite impressive and very good place for studying. The drizzling monsoon, cool summer... wow.

I feel its really worth in making NITC as IIT... coz the whole of NITC resembles as a master place for study study & study... This NBA accrediated deemed university stand first in the fight for IIT Kerala... pushing behind the good old Govt. Engg. college Trivandrum.

As far the students are concerned, u feel comfortable is staying. Food in hostels are ok, but  if you prefer to take in hotels... only god can save you. For people who really wants to learn... specifically keralites... I will suggest you NIT calicut.
