My experience with BA is limited to a trip from Delhi to London and back in mid-2006.
Generally the experience was satisfactory. There was a lot of confusion due to the bomb scare in UK around that time and many passengers suffered because they did not know about the ban on liquids etc. But then they should read the newspapers.

However the airline does seem to have a major problem with misplaced baggage-which is apparent from other forums. While returning to Delhi one suitcase was not on the plane. The BA rep did not give proper guidance and the end result was that I had to come from Jaipur to Delhi to sort out problems with Customs. Still, the staff were helpful in sorting out the problem and reimbursed my additional expenses (although this took over a month and a reminder).

When I booked the ticket the fare was comparable to Air India but less than Jet. Given a choice between AI and BA I suppose BA is better-but not by much.

Queues were long but processed quickly. Food and service on board was OK but nothing great.
