Following EMAIL sent through LINK as per EMAIL received. BUT NO REPOSNE RECEIVED SO FAR.
We expect a positive response - to enable us to continue to believe that Bitish Airways DO NOT CHEAT and cares for their customers.
Amin Paniwala.
DETAILS OF EMAIL sent on 19 October 2006:
Thank you for your reply.
You have clearly stated weight for baggage for Hold. Please note that Student Mr. Aiyaz Paniwala was carrying the weight as per limits specified by you - which were known to us earlier and therefore he was carrying the weight as per limits, Please note that we have no complaint in this regard.
Our complaint is for Weight limit and ILLEGAL (Amounting to CHEATING0) compulsions enforced by British Airways Check in conter staff for Hand baggage.
In your reply also we have noted your SILENCE about the weight limitation of Hand baggage. Please note that Mr. Aiyaz was carrying Hand baggage - as per Size Limitation described by you. Contents were also in compliance with your directions. THEN ALSO HE WAS COMPELLED TO BOOK hand baggage as Hold baggage at EXTRAOST of more than 100 Pounds.
We are seeking Justice for this compulsion and ILLEGAL DEMAND.
I hope this helps, and thank you again for contacting us.
Best regards

Dear Mr Paniwala
Thank you for your email.
We have been concerned for some time that a few extremely heavy bags were taking a toll on our staff and increasing the likelihood of damage to other passengers luggage. So we have introduced a new maximum weight - of 32kg (70lbs) - for any one piece of hold luggage on British Airways flights.
This does not affect your overall baggage allowance at all. It is simply an upper limit on single items. If you come to the check-in desk with something that weighs more than 32kg, we will have to ask you to reduce it - but if necessary well supply another bag so that you can re-pack and spread the weight.
You also mentioned about the hand baggage allowance which you can carry on the flight. Customers departing on flights to the UK from the rest of the world who are not transferring onto another flight, will be able to carry one standard size bag, 56cm x 45cm x 25cm or 22in x 18in x 10in (approx.), and one briefcase, laptop computer bag or equivalent.
Customers returning from the UK must comply with the UK Department for Transport requirements, which are one cabin bag, no bigger than 56cm x 45cm x 25cm. The cabin bag must not contain any liquids, gels, creams or aerosols.
I hope this helps, and thank you again for contacting us.
Best regards
