On my flight from NJ, USA to Bangalore, India, on Aug 11/12, 2006. One of my checked in baggage was delayed for four days. When the bag reached me it was soaking wet -damaging whatever contents the thieves
did not care to steal.
BA refused to give any compensation for the stolen items (a PDA cell ph and Digital camera -costing more than the flight tickets), since "electronic items are not covered" in their policy.
Considering that it was BA which asked us to check in ALL items EXCEPT tickets, passport and credit cards, the should really take the responsibility to safegard the contents and investigate losses. Instead they went above and beyond their duty, to absolve themselves of the responsibility and refuse any claims.
This, is most certainly the last time myself or my family will ever fly BA. Besides, who wants to deal with the "terrorist" hassles when flying over the London route.
