I ordered 2 watches from blue dial. The first went ok, so I ordered another. Right off the bat, I got told there would be a one day delay. (out of stock) Ok, no problem. Then every day I would check back, and each day the story changed. After the 7th contact, the customer service person actually told me that the watch had arrived and was being packed for shipment. The next day, still no watch was shipped. The story changed again, this time that the person I talked to was wrong, etc, etc, etc. Then the story was that the watch was sure to be there that day. A few hours later, oops, it still wasnt.
I talked to the manager and got something of an attitude from him. He pretty much made sure that I would not get a word in edgewise. He went on to blame all the problems on the manufacturer and minimized the fact that his people kept telling me incorrect information. He went on and on discussing how he and his people were so busy this time of year, blah, blah, blah.
I got the idea that I as a customer was a major hassle for him, like he had more important things to do. Moreover, this company seems to spend a large amount of time making excuses instead of overcoming obstacles, and then takes it out on the customer. Hey, I think that a companys job is to SOLVE problems for the consumer, not create new ones.
In any event, I cancelled the order and the same day got the watch from another source without the excuses or lip service. Being in buisness myself, I am amazed the blue dial folks have made it this long. A companys character, I feel, is exposed when problems crop up, and boy did it for this company. If you are lucky and all is going perfect, then you will probably get your watch promptly from this company. However, if it requires any creative problem solving..........as the old saying goes, winners do things that losers dont want to do.
