Story:

The book is about a young village girl, who is total love with her magnificent, beautiful, and ye-pleasing blue colored umbrella.

And soon becomes the topic of discussion for the entire village. An old man, who cons children from their belongings gets fascinated with the blue umbrella, and is extremely jealous, from the fact that the young girl is getting all the attention.

Just because of that umbrella. Sometimes, in life, how do small things effect us emotionally, and how things changes when those small little things are no longer a part of us, could be summarized as theme of the brilliant novella from the legendary writer.

You cant help yourself but fall in love with the young girl Bindiya, who enjoys every moment under the visually delightful umbrella, the novella, is very beautifully written keeping in mind the innocence, simplicity of the characters.Ruskin Bond could easily be regarded as one of the finest writers, India has ever seen, and THE BLUE UMBRELLA seems a cakewalk for a writer of his caliber, he knows the soft points in your heart, he gently touches your hands, and takes you back to you childhood days, where innocence was an integral part. This book clearly is one of my all time favorite novella from the iconic writer.GO FOR IT.ITS A CLASSIC CHILDHOOD RUSKIN BOND STYLE NOVELA
