I'm an Old Cottonian myself. And let me assure you, being a Cottonian has been disadvantageous to me in almost every sphere in life.
a) Extra Curricular Activities- The school might project itself as the epitome of "all round" development. However, internal politics(involving teachers) makes it near to impossible for any new comer to participate in any extra currics at all.
b) Academics- 1) Cottons follows the ISC syllabus in +2- disadvantageous in any Indian entrance exam. 2) Teaching faculty is HORRIBLE. Poor student-teacher ratio(50-60 students in each class). Excellent academic output is perhaps due to the fact that more than 90% of the students are compelled to take external coaching.
There is too much favoritism and partiality on behalf of the school towards select students, most often at the cost of other students.
