Old Principal "PRINCESS FRANKLIN", Back at Bishop Cotton's Girls School.
Now I wonder if that is Good News or Bad News for the ever so Popular and High Flying Girls school of Bangalore - Bishop Cotton's Girls School.But I must share one event that happened this week.
A friend's daughter got her admission at BCGS into LKG and this week, was supposed to be her first day in class, or rather the inception day. The school had asked all parents to be present at the KINDERGARTEN hall at sharp 8:30AM. All excited Parents and children arrived at the school Kindergarten at sharp 8:30 AM and alas, they were made to wait until 9 AM for the principal to arrive. When The Principal "PRINCESS FRANKLIN" arrived, all parents were made to stand to welcome her.Now isnt that supposed to be the other way around? Come on! Its the Principal and the staff who need to welcome the parents and children to their school.
Likewise, when the principal PRINCESS FRANKLIN left after a brief speech in 5 minutes, all the parents were AGAIN asked to stand-up as the Principal was leaving. Now, is the Principal of BCGS, Some DICTATOR or some VVIP? Amongst the parents too, there were some very big industrialists, Bureaucrats and politicians who maintained a Low-Profile.
Why should a Principal of a School show-off so much? Why should'nt she be more down-to-earth? after-all she is the Principal of a Christian Institution that wishes to serve everybody alike. PRINCESS FRANKLIN is NOT the OWNER of BISHOP COTTON'S GIRLS SCHOOL.If PRINCESS FRANKLIN was moved out of BCGS? Why was she brought back? This shows the ugly NEXUS between the management of these schools and the ADMISSION/SEAT MAFIA, prevalent in both the BISHOP COTTON'S BOYS & THE GIRLS SCHOOL.
PRINCESS FRANKLIN should mend her ways. She is the Principal to Serve the Students and their Parents and NOT to harass or Throw her weight around. The BISHOP COTTON'S GIRLS SCHOOL is one amongst the MOST elite schools of Bangalore. Such small mindedness of people at the forefront will only Tarnish the image of the school. The management should be more amiable and nice to their patrons. This will truly help in making the school environment better.
Also, while my friend was there with his daughter at the kindergarten Hall, just at the entrance of the HALL, he was hounded by Tempo wallas and Auto Wallas who were offering to ferry his child to and from school, these auto guys and tempo guys Lurking around a Girls school could be a Serious issue in future. These people must be allowed at a designated area near the School Gate and Interested parents could approach them, instead of them Hounding parents near the Kindergarten hall.
All this shows that somebody in the management is benefited from these transporters as well if not, why should they be given so much Liberty? Long Live QUEEN FRANKLIN(:Everbody Stand up, the Queen has Arrived. Everybody Stand Up again, The Queen is Leaving). Old mentalities die hard.The world is changing Madam, Nobody is bothered if you are even a Real Queen these days.if you are a Queen, that is in your House Only.outside, Nobody Really cares.
