Sidney Sheldon's ''The Best Laid plans' is one of those books which totallu engrosses u the second time u read it ...
The story begins with Leslie stewart who is an advertising executive atan agency who gets the handsome ,Suave Oliver Russell a man who is runninh gor the governor as her client...just when the whole world seems to turn their back on Rusell Leslie strya by him n they r engaged to be married when oliver gets married to Jan davis who will make his pathway to the presidentship a lot easy thanx to her Senator father,Todd Davis ..But Oliver has a reputaion of being a total woman's man n his fidelity is under constant scrutiny...at the same timre Leslie so filled wit5h hatted seeks revenge n goes buliding a whole empire of the most powerful weapon in the world _The press...who she believes will make or break Oliver ....
The story also transverses the life of Dana Evans who is the WTE's reporter during the war at Bosnia who is so affected by the misery taht she refuses to budge till she finds a way to peace...
Sidney sheldon has highlighted Brilliantly the two phases of a woman-The sensitive soft,woman who will not give up the faith she belives is rite what come may as in Dana Evans n the cold,ruthless woman who will do anything to get back at the man who jilted her as in Leslie Stewart.But the amazing similarrity in both these woman though their destinations are on 2 different directions
the quality they use to get ther is the same Strength n Preseverence which is what women are all about.kudos to Sheldon for this one...
