While reading Sidney Sheldon's ''The best Laid Plans'', which deals with sex and crime, I mentioned my aversion to end it. The endless and unimportant details begin to bore the reader at the middle of the novel. The idea of the story (taking revenge on a man and manipulation in politic) are not bad, but sometimes I thought, that the author forgot the main themes.
At least some parts are to overdone, like the column by a fortune-teller and the main character Leslie.
A positive aspect is, that the end is full of dramatic and changes of facts (like the real murder of all these girls)and the description of political intrigues.
All in all ''The best Laid Plans'' is a novel which really bored my. But in fact there are some very good ideas in it!
