Story:

Unlike Sidney Sheldon's many novels, this one does not make absorbing reading. The plot is a good one but lacks motivation and depth.Leslie is a smart reporter, but naive enough to look up what her stars foretell , on a daily basis. Oliver is a very ambitious politicien who wishes to reach the top --be a President quickly and do anything to achieve his goal even marry the woman whom he does not care about. For a woman like Leslie , to go through all the trouble and finally own two newspapers, just to slander Oliver and get even , and ruin his chances of Presidentship, seems unrealistic.Especially, when you consider the little affair that they had before he married ...it was hardly of any importance especially with things like 'Ecstacy' being forced upon her by Oliver. The thing is too frivolous to be the basis for this entire book based on her plans of vendetta. Only natural, she realises her stupidity and shelves her plans only towards the end for her own hapinness'sakes (and our frustration). But , in the meantime the reader has gone through this slowmoving chain of events needlessly and uselessly. Not worh reading even as a timepass.
