My Baby Blade Review
Jul 01, 2016 08:10 AM 8733 Views

This can be Naveen from Chennai. Like almost everyone, I’m also a great supporter of bikes. I like faired cycles than naked ones. Now I’m here to express my riding experiences of our baby blade CBR 150R, It’s been when camping for nearly 5 months currently. This is my 1st control review. I may be an attractive bad writer, so kindly bear when camping. I start bike riding at my age of 18, my 1st bike riding starts with Bajaj Learn 125, it was a very good bike for daily commuting…

Our First Bike

After getting a career with handsome earnings, I thought we would buy a bike for us. I was not much aware about bike technicals that time. My spouse and I started searching on Google, After searching a good deal, I have decided to opt for 125cc, my choices were Stunner(from Honda) & SS125(from Yamaha). I ran across more features in Stunner when compared with its rival. It has somewhat fairing, split seats & tubeless tyres. I had created two options to choose, Fi(not offered now) and carb version. But no much difference on technical figures over the premium of 6k…Finally I ended up with carb version.

Stunner was a fantastic bike, it can reach 0-60 Kph throughout 5. 3 secs and carries a top speed of 115 Kph. Nevertheless vibrations after 70 Kph can be annoying. After riding 8000 kms in 1 . 5 years of ownership, I have went for a performance motorcycle… Buying and selling domains Choose the Baby Blade.?

When I went for a performance motorcycle, We've three options. Duke 200, R15 V2 & CBR 150R. When I mentioned earlier, I’m a diehard supporter of full faired sports cycles. So there is no means considering D’200. Otherwise D’200 was a terrific bike, a good combo involving performance, handling & comfort.

I heard that KTM is implementing RC series of full faired cycles, But budget was a constraint to me, moreover RC series have an influence with their super sports RC8 motorcycle, I really doubt about the riding good posture. And at last I ought to wait for some more occasion, So Excluding KTM’s Duke & REMOTE CONTROLLED series, I started comparing the remainder two. R15 V2 is additional track oriented bike, It features great styling, handling & functionality. But again it’s aggressive riding posture was a worry for me. I like your relaxed riding posture of CBR, that’s why people call CBR as being a perfect sports tourer. I be aware that R15 is more VFM when compared with CBR, but considering riding good posture and high positioned pillion seats, I ended up with newborn blade.

I booked vibrant red on 15th of July. I had been given one week waiting period pertaining to my baby delivery… My Newborn Blade Delivery

It was an awesome day for me. I achieved showroom, finished official procedure’s along with collected all papers. Finally acquired the keys of my newborn. The showroom person instructing me regarding the run-in, but I was investigating my gorgeous baby. After that, I started the engine along with raised the throttle, it looks amazing. Still now someone asks me regarding the price and mileage of motorcycle. Owning a sports bike offers a great feeling, proud to certainly be a ceeberian… Run-In Period

The worst type of scenario as like every motorcycle. As instructed, I use to ride at 5000-7000 rpm(60-75 Kph) approximately first 1000 kms. It was actually hard to keep throttle in that limit on open road. Maintenance

CBR150R doesn’t need just about any special care. But some general maintenance should be used as like other bikes. My spouse and I Service it as instructed throughout manual, Clocked 3800kms and a pair of services completed, engine oil & gas filter  changed in second service, Mainly because it got an open chain, it cleaning and lubing for every single 500 kms. I use to scrub and lube whenever I pick up a chain noise mildly regardless of whether haven’t covered much kms. I prefer Tribocor Chain Clean & lube. A well maintained chain last long. I also frequently pay attention to chain slackness and set the idea to right slackness as proposed.

Performance & Engine

Being an increased revving engine, it performs effectively after 7k rpm. Because involving low torque, it lags to tackle its rival below that. They have Honda’s patented PGMFI, engine doesn't have a vibes even at higher rpm’s. But I'm able to observe little vibes from visor along with RVM’s. The 6 speed gearbox can be smooth and does its job pretty much. Being a sports bike it never regrets to complete, I have reached a prime whack of 130 Kph in 11500 rpm, still there is some enough throttle to travel further… Look & Feel

CBR 150R is close comparable to that of CBR 250R. It looks more like a VFR, but the high rev engine strongly carries a CBR character in it. Your multi layered fairings, Y-shaped headlamp, short stubby exhaust all makes the bike an exceptional look. But the painting of frame doesn’t flourish, matt finish could be better as an alternative to glossy… Comfort, Handling & Braking

CBR 150R carries a perfect riding posture, a good combo of sports and also tourer motorcycle. The bike is trustworthy on straights, but cornering doesn’t gives much confidence for the hard compound tires. CBR 150R incorporates 100 mm front & 130mm backed MRF Zapper Q tires while stock. It sticks well in dry surfaces but doesn't supply much confidence on wet & muddy roads. Soft compound tires are able to do better than stock. The Nissin brakes should it job very well. The result is good and sharp, nevertheless it lacks ABS(at least as a possibility as like 250R)…

Accessories & Capabilities

CBR 150R comes with an elementary tool kit of two spanners and also a screwdriver. It comes with an analogue tachometer & searching for speedometer which gives all standard information’s like fuel level, odometer along with temperature & turn signal indicators…

Distance

Well my baby is not only a pocket burner, it returns 35-40 Kmpl in mixed riding conditions. I acquired 45 Kmpl on highway, that’s great for a sports tourer… Techie Specs

The bike was throughout proper stock condition now, but I want to do some mods in not to distant future. I have a plan to setup LED pilot lamps, which looks cool & more efficient too, and instead of investment MRF Zapper’s, I will move to Michelin pilot street radial tires…
