Very cutesy, very disney...
A descent movie though-- the whole language thing was a bit difficult for an american girl like me (those were some strong english accents)-- but overall it was worth
it.
It did have a cute premise, although somewhat predictable- a you go girl kind of movie.
I took my 10 yr old little sister to go see this movie, and was puzzled by the pg-13 rating- there really werent any oh my god cover her eyes moments.
More extensively- I didnt notice ANY bad language and there really werent any sexual undertones- just the typically predictable denouement kiss.
A good plot with a good message- who says girls cant be just as good as the boys?
The basic overview-- girls playing soccer (football) and kicking butt! Interesting confliction between Jess- an Indian girl-s love for the game, and her familys requests for cultural obedience. Further does this confliction grow both when Jess begins falling for her coach, who is not Indian, and as she begins realizing that going pro in America isnt such an impossibility.
All in all, Jonathon Rhys Meyers (love interest) is just too cute to not go see this movie!!!
