I feel this review is:
I watched Begum Jaan last week but left disappointed with the movie. The movie is a hindi adaptation of begali film Rajkahini and had stars like Vidya Balan in pivotal roles. Her performance suffered due to poor screenplay and weak and predictable storyline. The music was forgettable and direction was average. I knew the plot since I watch Rajkahini so nothing new for me. The director could done better by introducing something new to the plot. The cinematography was good and captured the landscape beautifully.
