It still is a great book for beginners.Sql server is best for the visual basic developers and also for the who wants to learn proper developing. many developers use Microsoft access for visual basic but I will recommend Sql server.
They provide step by step guide to how to develop Vb applications that works with sql server.for beginners its good to learn in deeply.as per my point of view sql server is the best for Vb developers. sql server performance is better than Microsoft access.
