Cloying, strong, bubble-gummy, and syrupy sweet, Beautiful is not a perfume that men like. Ironically, the ads suggest that it be worn on one’s wedding day.

It is probably the excess of the spicy carnation and heavy jasmine notes that ruin the melony fruitiness of Beautiful, changing it from a soft floral to a spice-laden sock in the face. So 1980’s.

As for staying power, Beautiful lingers, and lingers, then it lingers some more. I wish that it would not wane so long as it causes me and others a headache and its jasmine sweetness quickly becomes cloying. Nearly impossible to wash off, even with scrubbing. I would only recommend to buy for those asking for it by name.

Bottle is simple, pretty, tall and glass.

I received this product as a gift in the early 90’s. I received the lotion and bought a matching perfume. I gave it away to GoodWill so it could pollute someone else’s boudoir.
