The barista cafe at nungambakam is the most decent hangout yet in chennai. The music is not too loud, the ambience clean and refreashing, the service pleasant.
It doesnt have the loud ambience of coffee day at Isphani center and most importantly it also serves good assam tea. The food is also quite good and serves something for weight watchers as well. The crowd frequenting this place is also quite decent and well mannered.
The cafe is clubbed with aiwo healthy eating resturant, but I am yet to see any crowd at that place :)
The cafe can be crowded on fridays and saturdays and that means the sofas will be occupied. The best time to visit the cafe would be for a after dinner coffee/tea, when the place is very quite expect for the music.
I havent found any other place with an ambience quite as cool as this place, but being new to chennai I guess, it will take some time to find out.
