I’m a software engineer working for a MNC in Bangalore for more than 2.6 years now. I would like to share my experience with Barclay finance. I recently applied for a personal loan in Barclay


finance.


And the response was very quick a tele-caller immediately arranged an appointment and sent an executive to my office the next day afternoon.(Well well I was quit e happy with quick response). Told me to carry latest salary slips, credit card photo copy, photos, address proof etc.


Next Day


9.45 AM: I was driving down to my office(And obviously stuck in traffic near the sarjapur signal, on the way to Electronic city via outer ring road) I got a reminder call from the same tele-caller to inform me that the executive will be visiting to my office to get the paper work done.


1.15 PM: An executive called prashanth called me and said he has reached my office and waiting in the reception. I filled up the application form, read about the conditions and handed over all documents required. He gave me a contact number(kavitha) so that I can call and check the application status.


After 1 Day


2.20 PM: Again a tele-caller rang me up to collect some information, address, email id and other stuff. She told that loan will be sanctioned in next 3 days.(Still I was happy for the quick process?


After that


I never got a call back from the Barclay finance. I tried the call the number given by the executive, ever after a ton of times I get an answer the “The nuber you are trying to call is switched off”.


I wrote a mail to the Barclay customer care, a couple of times again no response. It’s been almost 20 days now. I’m still awaiting for the call.


I have to mention here that I earn handsome money(38k pm) and after submitting all documents required, I ask myself am I no not eligible for personal loan of 1.5 lacs?


If this Is the service given to customer before getting a loan, then what happens after loan being sanctioned(Anyway I don’t think I will get or rather I will apply at Barclay next time).
