Hello team,
I am a very unsatisfied customer of Barclays who has had a very bad experience with you and your team. I was using a credit card from Barclays long ago. I think its been more then 5 to 6 years now (not sure as I dont even remember it now).
I had done a full and final payment to one of their executive after following up with your bank several times to collect the payment and the receipt number of both the payments is C 915520 and C 915521 and the payment was done on 29/10/2009. Please note the payment was Rs 30000 thousand that I had made and that was the outstanding amount on my credit card which I had completely paid. After this I had called your customer care team and requested for the closure of the card.
The customer care team confirmed the payment and updated me that they will send me the closure letter asap but I have not received the same. It was never discussed with me on the status of my profile on CiBil.
Now I get to see that the CiBil records are updated as written off and when I go back to Barclays bank they said its because I have outstanding of 31000 more which was not paid to the bank.
This is the interest that they want me to pay after 4 to 5 years now. I don't know why they kept quite till 5 years and now telling me to pay that too when I asked them on the my account status.
Its been a practice of all banks to cheat the customers during closure of their accounts.
