One of my clients had explained to me his bitter experience in obtaining a loan from this bank in Kolkata. He had met with the Sr.Manager of the branch and explained to him that he needed a Cash-Credit limit from the bank for his export business.
The manager had told him what he had to do and gave him a check list of the documents that would be required by the bank along with a feasibility report. He had gone to the bank after ten days along with all the necessary documents. He was told to come after a couple of weeks as a follow up. He had gone there on the specified day he was told to come but the manager had told him again to come after another week as he was busy with other work. In this manner two months had gone by and my client was getting frustrated.
As his financial consultant I accompanied him to the bank and was very surprised with the attitude of the manager. Instead of being apologetic for they delay he tried to put blame on my client and behaved very rudely with us. Being attached with this industry for the last 35 odd years I was very disappointed with this bank.
