All this is my first review in Mouthshut. I got XCD on my birthday on 29th Oct. After a long R&D I made , I booked this vehicle.

Till now I completed 1100kms, altogether including city ride, highway ride, doubles and even tribles ride.

Here are my views  ....

1)      Looks : The looks at its class is the best one I can say. Comparing with Victor, Shine, Zeus ….this chap looks better than them. Makes people look at him when floating on roads. I got a black XCD , which looks awesome. The bike is bit short for me, but not that an issue.

2)      Mileage : Worst I got was 56 in city with a pillion behind. On highway I got 65+ with SHELL petrol. The maximum speed I touched was 75kmph. All the above figures were before first service.

3)      Cost : In Banglore it costed me 47K+ including 4years extended warranty. Since the bike is new to market I opted for that. Also there were some news in papers that there are some Electronics Display issue and some noise in Center Stand. Even my relative working in the spares dept confirmed that. But they genuinely agreed to replace the spares for customers come with this issue. But to my case I didn’t face any issue till now . The fuel gauge was showing emplty when I took the delivery though the delivary guy told me there is 1 liter of fuel. I don’t belive him, as they would have taken awqy that too. I filled fuel for 100Rs . The gauge showed me Two points..so no issues with the Fuel gauge thanks GOD ). Even after gauge shows empty, still 3/4 litre of petrol is available. People say the fuel is not showing consistant level. To my understanding that is depends on the level of the tank. One can see this difference when they put side stand.

4)    lighting: XCD is othe one who has DC lighting for Two wheelers next to Royal Enfield. This feature is really a best one. The lighting doesn’t depend on engine RPM. This makes the light illimination to be bright even at very low RPM., ( Just imagine with CARs how the lightings are ..its same way ). You can switch ON parking light without engine idling.

Digital display, one more gud feature. All my friends whoever switched on the ignition switch, first say “WOW …digital display!? “. One negative of the display part is it doesn’t have TRIP meter. Bajaj provided a good feature . but donno why gave them with some drawback.

Next, Self start. As usual with other bikes. Works fine during cold start also ( donno how long it will continue ) , but I do kick start during cold start.

Low speed Torque is really gud as promised by Bajaj. At 20Km speed , XCD moves at top gear without any jerk. This can improve the mileage.

Pickup is reasonable to the power train the bike. We cannt expect  more pickup as we see in Discover or Pulsur . But still I feel this pickup is quite enough in city riding.

I went for a long drive to my native on Hosur Highway. I didnt feel any backpain or uncomfortabilty. But I recommend to stitch one seat cover with enough cushioning.

I thought of changing the handle to butterfly type for better styling . But the service guy recommended not to do so. It may spoil cluth plate and accelerator mechanism. ( this is because the cables are designed accordingly, if we change the size of the handle, we need to take care abt the cable also).

Just now I completed my first service. I was getting a vibrating sound from rightside air-vent. That was rectified in my service.  Milage after the service I need to check.  Will update on that.

oops...my story went too long it seems....i m concluding....

Overall I recommend this bike for Budget user.
