I bought bajaj xcd on 28th of november and have done around 800 kms. The main reason for buying this byke was its low price(considering the features it has) and I was looking for something new.

I will try and analyze the bike on the below 5 params.

1)

Fuel Consumption(kms/litre): It initially gave a mileage of 62 kmpl under pune's traffic condition but is giving around 66-67 kmpl after the first servicing which was done at 618 kms.  I rode the bike at around 45 kmph before the first servicing.

2)

Comfort: Excellent sitting position makes it a gud bike to ride on in terms of comfort. But I feel the shockers are not upto the mark. you can feel even the smallest bumps on the road.

3)

Reliability: Can't say much in this aspect.

4)

Handling and Control: The bike is very easy to handle due to its light weight u can easily navigate sharp turns. You feel that the tyres are in grip with the road even at 70 kmph unlike the other 100 cc segment bikes where it feels the grip is poor. The only problem(and serious one) with xcd is its poor brakes. The drum brakes are very poor(even in comparision to other bike's drum brakes). Also, the engine makes a lot of noise, which according to the company is coz of twin sparks but I feel otherwise.

5)

Looks:The looks are decent. Has digital speedometer(very simple, cud have made it more attractive). The paint quality is excellent and the graphics on the tank is well done. The saare guard is somewhat like a box incapable of holding any useful thing. The bike seems to be well balanced.

The+ point is its low price, gud features and attractive finance options(if one is planning to take it on loan).

The - point is its brakes and shockers.

I have come to face a new problem with the bike of late, the bike stops in between specially when I ride it after a gap(say every morning). This is mainly due to cold weather conitions. So have to warm up the engine(keep it running for 1-2 min every morning) before making the bike to move. This solved the problem.

Will update the thread if I find anything useful to share with you guys.
