I bought Bajaj XCD on 12th of May on my brother’s birthday. Bike has completed its 10000 plus Kms. I bought this bike thinking of the price and mileage. Initially it was a great buy but after completing 5000 Kms it started having issues. It has been around 2 years that we have Bajaj XCD and will try to explain everything in points.

Pros:

Price is very low. In this range Bajaj XCD is one of the best buys to have in your house.

Comfort wise it is a good bike with respect to the price. But at the same time it should not use for longer journeys. 40-50 Km rides are Ok on this bike. But if you are planning a longer tour then don't take this bike.

Till today it has proved itself reliable. It never left me standing in any situation. With all the issues I reached home safely. But I am not sure whether it will be same in future.

It has pretty decent looks. It looks quite slim and light weighted. And the same can be felt while driving the bike. It can make slim cuts but don't try. Tires are not made for any kind of fast turns making.

Cons

After 10-11 months a clicking noise started in the chain system and is not be gone with all the services and changes. It is quite common in this version of XCD do take a test drive of alone of your known before buying this.

Initially it provided an average of 55-60 Km per litre. After every servicing it is decreasing and as of current scenario fuel consumption has increased largely. Now it is delivering around 35-40 Km per litre. Now I am thinking to get another bike and sell this one.

Had some issues with breaks and tires as their they got depreciated quite soon. So had to replace them with new ones. So, these were the disappointments that I faced after the purchase of this bike.

Pretty soon I will replacing it with a new one or may be ill keep this one to go nearby markets.

Lightweight & easy to handle till the speed of 50 Km per hour beyond this it starts going out of hand. Its lightweight also result in mis-balance when any heavy vehicle drives nearby at higher speed.

In today’s scenario I would not recommend this bike to anyone.
