Its been 5 years that I have used this bajaj spirit and believe me that it has proven upto the mark considering its size and the money factor. For the buyers I think it will be convenient that I classify the advantages and the disadvantages so as to benefit them in making the right decision in this matter
Advantages:
1: This scooter is small and convenient to use especially in the city such as mumbai.
2: It has attractive looks and is available in attractive colours .
3: It is good especially for the ladies as it suits their looks
4: The maintenance factor is not much and just as any ordinary scooter for 22grands would deliver.
Disadvantages:
1:The total space is less. So I would recommend it only if there is a single user.
2:There is not much space for the pillion riders whatsoever and the footrests for the pillion rider is very inconvenient.
3: Do not expect to climp steep slopes quickly and forget of climbing it if you are with a pillion riders.(imagine u with ur giirlfriend guys?? how embarassing)
4: The mileage is not upto the mark and requires constant servicing to make it so. so the money factor comes into factor. (nowadays it is giving me a hrid 35km\l)
So I think overall if you are really lookin for a scooterette such as the bajaj spirit. I advice you to think twice. Because there are many other kinetic scooterettes which would serve your purpose-especially the Kinetic Zing
