This is my very first review of any vehicle but I will try to write the best of what I know. This review is after 2 years and 16k + association with my baby. If you are looking for a bike with 45-50 kmpl and a performer at par with KARIZMA then dont think of anything and go for it. I am not a technical geek so I will dissapoint u on that front but if u would like to know the real riders facts then join the 5 minute ride with me.

LOOKS:

Park it anywhere and the eyes of the passersby will tell u the story. It is really a good looking bike with an aggressive front fairing. The age old indicators are still there but they never damp the looks anywhere. The ALL BLACK SPORTY ALLOY WHEELS are a real prize winning change. The huge wide tyres offers great presence and equally great grip on road. They call it DEFINATELY MALE I call it DEFINATELY BOY.

UTILITY:

1) Disk Brake: The front disk brakes works really well, specilally in emergency situations. There are many times when this baby saves my life from a sureshot collison. They are reliable and spot-on.

2) Side Stand Engaged Indicator: This indicator really comes handy sometimes.

3) Rectengular Swing Arm: This bike uses square swing arm due to which its on road stability improves a lot. U can take sharp turns with full confidence and manuvre in tight traffic.

4) Self Start:I have never used kick to start my bike. Just sit on the bike put the ignition on and push the self button and here comes life in the baby.

PERFORMANCE:

Now here comes the part for which people prefer sports bikes and u will find pulsar 180 asking for more from u. Engage the first gear and release the cluch u will find all other bikes eating dust in ur side mirror. Only karizma came nearby but u will be astonished to know that when my friends who have karizma and ApacheRTR 160 ride this baby they find there bikes slow than this one. Actually if we look at numbers the initial pickup (0-60) of pulsar 180 is better even than karizma (though just .5 seconds) but it is actually better. I have attained 120kmph with this bike but I cant go further that as that is the maximum limit of this baby but what is special in this bike is the pickup and the power with which it rides. the ride is smooth till 80 kmph but after that it start becoming a bit harsh and around 100kmph it starts vibrating a bit, which actually is not at all alarming or unexpected. any indian bike will have this charecteristic. What I like about this baby is that if u are on the top speed (in my case it is 120) it will never feel unstable which builds confidence in u even on higher speeds.

MILEAGE:

Now here comes the mollion dollar question. Iska mileage kya hai? I guess many of u are wondering about it. After 16000+ kms I can comfortably say that it is giving me the mileage of 50kmpl. Are u finding it unbelievable then please beleave me. I am a living example of it.

Few tips for better mileage:

1) Forget that u are riding a power bike. In daily conditions please ride it smoothly without much gear shifts. These power bikes are used on the power side only sometimes, that is when u r with ur girl friend, ur to be girlfriend, and only when actualy power is required (emergency).

2) Keep the RPM of ur bike under 3500 point. this will greately help.

3) Always get ur baby hospitalised in a recognised hospital (workshop).

4) Do regular checkup of ur bike.

5) And the most important is LOVE UR BIKE.

*MAINTAINENCE:

As any bajaj bike this too dont require any huge maintenance. Just follow the maintenance schedule and ride ur bike with love. Apart from regular servicing I have just changed rear brakes 350/- a side stand on warning lamp 150/- that too recently.

One thing I want to mention here that I always get my baby to the authorized service station which is also the authorized dealer I bought my bike from (SUMAN MOTORS, NOIDA). I will recommend it for servicing as it has given me the best servicing. But one time when I was in gwalior I got my bike serviced by Gupta and sons, the authorized sales and servicing point there which has given me the worst service I have ever had. I think bajaj needs to do a lot in properly synchronizing the working of all the workshops equally great.

In all the experience is great.

*This bike is really a deadly performer but please don't make it one. Someone somewhere is waiting for u. Always wear halmet.

*I am thankfull to them who spent there valuable time in reading my review. I u still have any question left I will be happy to answer u

Thanx
