Bajaj has only grown up ever since the day they brought the discover franchise in the market. It was way better in the looks, from the rest in the competition. Elegantly design, sober graphic and dark color schemes made it scorhing to my teenage mind. Plus, it had more power and better mileage trigger the purchase. It served me well. Firstly, I don't understand why it used to be a generic bike which every mecha.nic insist against. Though, I a never met a user who was not happy to use it.ProMileage - 65kmpl is the best figure in its class.Acceleration is brisk and throttle response adequate enough to give you the feel of a punchy ride while dragging.Low Cost of MaintainceDecent engine refinement and five speed gearbox.ConsPoor balance - The bike seems fine to ride alone but when commuter seat is occupied, it may make you feel a bit unstable.( I assessed and spotted the reason of problem and it is SNS rear suspension which was culprit. On hitting a big pathole along with a commuter, the SNS of any one side slips. Unknowingly, why only any one side of the two rear shockers get disturbed. I have seen this problem faced by many 'Discover' bikes. No choke - You can't choke up the engine for heating as there is no choke built in this model. It makes it a necessity to drive carefully till idle speed settled. After 2000 kms, the engine gets tuned and faces no problems as such.Slim tyres make it vulnerable to ride at higher speeds. Most of the things are same as in case of any ordinary bike. The build quality could have been much better and chasis heavier. A good bike, reliable and econimical to use, gets most things done and never irritates you while starting. Better option than 100cc bikes as it gives you a more puchy grunt and added torque always a plus.
