I have owned 2 other scooters in my life (both of them Vespas) and enjoyed them. The Bajaj Chetak 4 stroke has them beat by a long shot. Not only does it carry my large body at 50-55 mph, but it also does it smoothly and gets better gas mileage! I own the 2002 Chetak in a Butter Yellow color and can't drive it anywhere without turning heads and getting questions when I stop or park it. Since I have purchased mine, it seems as though there has been a following started here in my hometown. Anyway, I appreciate the economy, the low maintenance, and the great reliable ride. It is easy to learn how to operate and the gears shift very easily. It has plenty of accelleration and power. I also own a 1968 Corvette Convertible that I drive when the weather is beautiful but it has been sitting more lately..I highly recommend this scooter to anyone that is looking for a great ride with the best economy of any scooter out there. If you are very short in stature, you should not buy this scooter as my wife is only 5'0'' and she could not sit on the saddle with both feet on the pavement.
