Bajaj created a segment of its own with the one-of-a-kind Avenger Street 150 which caters to those who want the comfort of a cruiser for their daily commuting, but don't have plans to take it for a cross country ride. Lower cost of the air-cooled, 150cc engine also helps the cause.

The bike looks very similar to its elder sibling, the Avenger Street 220. But it skips on the matte black finish and opts for a glossy Midnight Blue shade. The handlebar is much lower to make maneuvering through city traffic easier. The bike gets a round headlamp, clear lens reflectors and a cylindrical instrument pod to help retain the old-school charm. Instrument cluster now has digital read-outs for the trip and odometer, while the speedometer is an analog unit. Silencer looks new and the bike gets sporty grab rails along with black alloy wheels. Compared to the outgoing Avenger, newer variants have their saddle height raised by 15mm with additional cushioning for improved comfort.

The air-cooled, 150cc DTS-i engine produces 14.54 PS of power at 9000 RPM, 12.5 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM and comes with a 5-speed gearbox. The engine is same as the Pulsar 150, but here it gets a few tweaks and a larger air filter for better low-end response. The bike gets a telescopic front suspension with fork covers and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Safe braking is ensured with a 240mm disc up front and a 130mm drum at the rear. Tyres measure 90/90 R17 at the front and 130/90 R15 at the rear. The tank holds 14 litres of fuel out of which 3.4 litres is in the reserve. The Avenger Street 150 gets a maintenance free battery with a capacity of 4Ah.

The bike measures 2177mm in length, 801mm in width, 1070mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1480mm. Ground clearance measures 169mm and the bike tips the scale at 148 kg.
