Hi,
I have Bajaj Allianz insurance for my Honda City which I got done via Ring Road Honda, Peeragarhi - from whom I have been dealing with since 2007. While Ring Road Honda people have been cooperative, the Bajaj Allianz insurance company seems highly unprofessional:
1) My car was hit by a stone from below on Jaipur Highway, and the engine oil chamber got ruptured. I switched off the car and parked the car at the side. Got a crane and took the car to Pearl Honda Gurgaon, where I specifically advised the service people not to start the car
2) I was told that the engine had run a cycle, due to which apart from changing the engine oil chamber, entire engine has to be overhauled, with an expense that I have to bear for INR 50, 000+ The arguments given by "argumentative" surveyor - Lalit - was that since the damage to the engine happened "indirectly" Bajaj was not liable to pay
3) I got Lalit, Ring Road Honda people and Pearl Honda people on a call, and requested Lalit to reconsider with his seniors, but since then Lalit has not been responding back, or taken my calls!
We take insurance and pay money over the years with the confidence that if and ever something major happens, our risk is covered. Insurance companies like Bajaj Allianz are duping customers with customer unfriendly policies aimed at minimizing their outflow, when they die to renew at the time and make all sort of promises. I have three cars, but I will ensure that even though all other companies may be the same in India, I do not, and no one around me whom I can influence, ever does take any sort of Bajaj insurance!
