Bacardi Breezer is the latest one from Bacardi in India. Bacardi, one of the best rum producers in the world, is trying to market this alcoholic mixture to attract people who like fruity flavour. Few weeks
ago sales person of the shop from where I normally buy alcoholic beverages insisted me to taste this product. Without much hesitation due to that famous emblem of Bacardi I purchased few bottles.

Brought it home and kept Breezer in freezer to make it tastier. I took some time to choose the right glass and ultimately settled for cocktail glass. My personal experience is not that good. With all regards to Breezer Lovers let me express my opinion.

The product

This alcoholic mixture is having around 4.8% alcohol (v/v). Main ingredients are white rum and fruit juice. It is available in Orange, Lime and Cranberry flavors. Before I forget, these are my favorite flavors of fruits juice.

Packed in 200 ml glass bottle with metal press cap like that of beer but no fizz.

Taste

I personally do not get the taste of rum in it nor can I taste of fruit juices. It is like a sherbet made out of various artificial colors, flavors and sweeteners and lots of water. Nowhere near the taste of real fruit juice. It is a drink for those who do not like the taste of real white rum of Bacardi and would prefer to add some additives to camouflage the taste of that wonderful white rum.

What a waste. It tastes terrible, gives an awfully dry mouth and a carpet tongue. I felt like washing my mouth with the best possible mouthwash available in the market.

Very hot and spicy bites are most suitable for this mixture.

Cost - According to me Rs. 40/- for 275 ml is too much for this alcoholic sherbet.

My Better Alternates

Well, I will always prefer to go for my favorite KF Premium when in a mood to go for mild or in the afternoon of hot summer.

I will prefer to have 30 to 60 ml of Bacardi White Rum with fresh juice if you insist on fruity flavour.

Verdict

Many may like fruity flavour but I cannot recommend this product to Big Bad Boys of MS.

Mystery

Why Bacardi wants to spoil its own wonderful white rum by making a sherbet out of it? This question will always hunt me and will remain as a mystery to me.
