This movie is actually the second Shahrukh Khan movie which I have ever watched (the first ever was Deewana). When this movie released In 1993, I was 3 years old. And since I have watched it, until now, I have got to say that this is MY #1 FAVORITE SHAHRUKH KHAN MOVIE OF ALL TIME! There are many reasons for which I love this movie soo much.
THE DIRECTION of this movie is probably one of the best that Abbas-Mustan has ever done. It seems that most of their other films have been flopped. But the story to me is very original, becuase this is one of the most few movies, which they show the bad guy as the good guy, and what is suppose to be the good guy, is the bad guy. Confused? After watching it, it really isn't.
They frist introduce shahrukh khan to the audience as the good guy, and the audience falls inlove with him. Even though througout the movie, Ajay/Vicky (Shahrukh) goes arround killing everyone, I am sure that everyone who watches it has sympathy for him, and things he is the good guy.
THE STORY of this movie is very good. It has many twists, and it makes you want to keep watching the movie until the conclusion at the end.
THE ACTING of this movie........Shahrukh Khan...wat else can I say? Like I said, this is the my most favorite movie of SRK ever. Simply because of his acting. I think, that Shahrukh has done HIS BEST preformace in this movie, througout his career. His acting is soo realistic, and believable. It seems that shahrukh is actually in the position of the scene. Throughout his career, shahrukh seems to have changed his acting syle a little, or it never came to a surprise to me on his acting. But there are a very few, which he has stood out and did a superb job like in Devdas, Dil Se, Darr, and most recent Veer-Zaara and not forgetting BAAZIGAR
Acting of this movie by others, Shilpa shetty has also done a very good job for her first movie. Her acting also was very believable, and real.
Kajol, made acting look like a breeze. And her duo with shahrukh was a perfect match for the movie.
The music of this movie is very good. I wouldnt give it 5 stars, only becuase there are 3 songs of which I think went good with the movie. The theme song of Baazigar is actually one of the best EVER. And Yeh Kaali Kaali Ahken, is an excellent song which although it is old, but it makes you dance like crazy!
