I wonder what the poor audience did in cinema halls while watching Babul and how they have handled to tolerate sitting for about 3 hours full of torture and extremly mediocare but poor cinema. I have a
lots of patience in myself and towards films too, but ....I watched this crap on my dvd and beleive u me I forwarded the scens after evry 4 to 5 minutes because the screenplay and presentation is so bad so bad that I was feeling myself unable to sit even by hook or by crook throughout this film and the duration of film I have played of one hour 50 minutes (I have play forwarded the one hour  film) was just a sheer torture for me. No grip on the film, no screenplay, no freshnes
Baabul

s, no clever treatment...just dull, drab film that was made half heartedly or with even lesser heart.

A very good subject is spoiled in form of a very very bad film that serves nothing. Songs and there picturisation gave u a deja vu feelings, no interesting scenes, no emotional quotent, un realistic presentation and extremly dry treatment. The only thing that I liked throughout this 3 hour torture was a 2 minute scene where Rani after becoming a widow dance with teh imagination of her husband in rain and Amitabh looking at her.. the pia bawri scene.... except that scene all of the film was just DRY SHITT.

Subject was handled very carelessly and un sentimentally, director builds no situations for the incidents and theior effects on all the characters. It just looklikea plain drama from  some mediocare college student’s dramatical society who dont know how to shapeup a good script.

Performances were disappointing. Except Amitabh all actors performs bad or just mediocare. Salman did his usual over acting, Rani did the same tearing lady’s character with bad voice and lots of kajal in eyes, Hema had nothing to do except to perform a meaningless character, John Abraham was unbearable in that unsuitable character and did a bad job too and Glamour doll Sarika make a comeback with a terrible movie.

Even the scenes were stolen from various film

1. Baap Beta car race when beta comes from America is stolen from Salman’s own Maine Pyar Kiya
2. The family song before interval and its situation and presentation was stolen from the song Dair na ho jaey kaheen from film Henna picturised on ’Ashvani Bhawe’ dancing in family function and ’Rishi Kapoor’  driving a car and after the song met with an accident.
3. The baar beta yaari sequence is ditto to another looser KANK.

So u can guess their is also blackout of originality too.

I wonder what happened to bollywood diretors sometimes that the create such craps that the ycan do nothing except torturing the audience and spoiling and wasting their money, time and mood.
