I am an EVDO user since the time it was available in Chennai i.e from April 2008.  Most places I get the CDMA 1x signals.  I get EVDO signals in Perungudi and Porur in city limits.  While on 1x, I get a
guaranteed 100kbps average and on EVDO atleast 500kbps average.  I work on my company VPN and connect to remote servers.

I spoke to CRO today and got to know that they are going to install 21 EVDO BTS (towers) all over chennai.  So hopefully by mid of 2009 we can get good EVDO coverage in Chennai.  From whatever I tested, this card works wherever there are BSNL Chennai Telephones phone numbers are available (8 digit ones),   I have tested this card even in a place that is 60km away from Chennai (Periyapalayam).  It works....
