I have been using bsnl for the last year, and it has been a terrible year for me!
Let me say this right off the bat, it is the WORST absolute CRAP service in the world.
Let me start with its internet speed. I will narrate to you an incident which occurred with me. I opted for a plan which on paper was OK and atleast not as bad as the real service that was provided to me. It was a plan for 1000 INR and gave a speed of upto 2mbps for 20 GB and after that its speed would decrease to upto 1mbps. What it really gave me was 461 kbps upto 10 GB and after that the rest of the month I had to survive with 196 kbps. So the connection is pretty BAD.
You can totally rely on its connection( after 12 in the night and before 4 in the morning). The traffic is so much and there are so less servers, that you get 50 kbps in the mornings. Its ping is so low that gaming is totally a NO! Playing multiplayer games like overwatch, battlefield 1 etc is impossible. Even though I have a 2 lakh gaming rig, playing games is like becoming the next GOD because it requires so much patience!
Lastly the service and support: To troubleshoot BSNL broadband problems( which are surprisingly frequent no matter which plan you take) you need to call up the BSNL office and they send a technician to your place to troubleshoot the problems. Atleast thats what they say. They don't. You have to hammer it in their brains that they need to troubleshoot the connection.
The pros and cons of BSNL service:
CONS:
BAD internet speed.
Connection reliability is absolute CRAP
No support whatsoever.
PROS:
- You can become the next Dalai Lama by opting for a BSNL connection because you need so much PATIENCE!
