The most important thing is that it is registered as deemed university under the section 3 of UGC act 1956. It has got 15 academic departments but is famous for engineering, science and technology and for business. It got incepted in 1929 and started offering post graduate courses from 1955. As the time makes the wine immortal so does it for institutions like this one. Being almost 90 years old, it has made its inception in every young lad of India.
