I have been following the story of Ayushmaan from the day it started airing on Sony a while back. The show started off with a lot of promise...as it dealt with a subject like child geniuses. It showed the track most child geniuses go through-rejection from others bcoz they are ''different''!!
All that was fine..till Ayushmaan falls in love with a girl-Tani...frm thereon,the serial just lost track of it's original story. From Tani to Soniya to Kavya...the story now seems to be just a chronicle of his love life!! Whatever happened to his career as a doctor?? Looking at Ayush's life,one would be forgiven for thinking that it is so easy to become a doctor. Sounds like great fun!!
A leisurely stroll around the wards...kids laughing as if they are in a nursery..not a hospital...!!!
Wow...what fun it all looks!! And getting married at barely 18 yrs!! How did courts allow this marriage?? What happened to the murder case of Tani?Questions...questions...all the serial does is throw up more of them with each successive twist and turn!! And Bodhi..the brother...from a loveable retarded like character,to make him an added villain to the existing Mayank...what are they trying to prove??
Do all these serials have to have many villains to spoil the show?? Cant any serial show what they start out with?? Ayushmaan showed a lot of promise,esp since I had seen the original ''Doogie Howser MD''the show it was supposed to be based on!!
There is nothing to show the struggle of a doctor's life...how much they slog to get where they do...how they encounter pain and triumph both in this field,and their coping with them,the way it was so brilliantly shown in a serial ''Lifeline''I saw as a schoolkid....
Altogether a very disappointing show!! Perhaps if the track reverted to it's original theme of showing his professional life and his encounters there,things might look up!Overall a very disappointing show!!
