I had a very bad experience with Axis bank dinning delights.
I visited'38-Bangkok Street' at Fort, one of the listed restaurant on 6th Feb 2016, after seeing the discount offered for Axis bank Card holders. The discount was valid upto 31 Aug 2016 for Fort location.
To my surprise when I checked in the restaurent on 6th Mar 2016, and inquired about the discount, the manager refused the same. The restaurant manager told me that discount is available only at Thane outlet. This was suprising to me as diningdelights website is showing the discount and restaurant is not offering.
I asked the restaurant manager again at the time of cheking out, but he refused. I then escalated the issue to Axis Bank, and till date have spoken to more than 10 customer service people. Funny answers received from Axis bank customer service team
1) Dining delights offer is only applicable on Neo credit cards
2) We will revert back in next 2 to 3 days(more than 5 times)
Even after following up with Axis bank for nearly 2 months, they have still not removed the
offer on 38 - Bangkok street and not been able to credit the discount to my account. The only thing which Axis bank gave is 3000 points for the pain I took them to follow up over email and call.
This is extremely disappointing as Axisbank has no control over the partners which it publishes for discount, thus finally landing customers into problem. You should be lucky enough that the merchant confirms the offer and above all generates the bill reflecting the offer.
My suggestion is that if there is any discount on dining delights, first call the restaurant
and check whether the offer is available to ensure that you get the discount. Axis bank has no control over the restaurants which are published on dinning delights
