Ease of Use:

Sensitivity:

Avon True Color Eyeshadow Duo comes in a wide range of colors. I am a 'warm' complextion, and my recent addition to my own personal makeup bag was the eyeshadow duo in nude/bark.

The duo comes packaged in a cardboard box, and the eyeshadow itself is in a plastic navy colored case. Inside is an applicator with foam circles on both ends for easy application. I personally use my own brush applicator, so I have had no experience with the one that comes in the package. Each square of eyeshadow color is about an inch in length, and about an inch and a half in height. This particular Avon product is made in the U.S.A., and has a net weight of .10 ounces. The compact itself has a flip lid with a very tight locking system. Therefore, the case does not open when bounced around inside your makeup bag.

The eyeshadow itself is easy to apply. It is very fine powder packed tightly into it's compartment, so the color comes off easily onto your brush or applicator. I have found that the color spreads easily from your applicator onto your eyelid. The color, once applied, also blends easily into your eyelid.

The compact I purchased has the base color, or the lighter color, on the left, and the darker color -- the highlighter color, on the right. The duo, case and all, is approximately three inches in height, three inches in width, and about a half inch thick. My eyeshadow powder is a classic neutral-medium duo made in 2000.

The only complaints I have about the product is it's tendency to wear off by the end of the day. I believe it is because the powder is so fine, and does not want to adhere for long amounts of time. The base color (the lighter color usually applied first on the eyelid) also runs out faster than the highlight color. This can be a hassle because while you still have the darker color left, you will need to re-stock the lighter color for your collection.

I feel the True Color shade options are very nice, and there is a wide selection of colors for all skin tones. I have not had an allergic reaction or any irritations due to this product, though my skin is not sensitive or prone to breakouts. The ingredients are listed on the card board packaging, which I threw away upon receipt of the product. If an allergic reaction does form, or if you are not happy with the shade upon purchase, Avon has a 100% money back guarantee.

If you have used powder eyeshadows in the past, this product will compare equally if not better with your past products. However, if you have used an eyeshadow stick or pencil, you may not be as pleased with a powder formula due to it's tendency to wear away over time.
