Recently due the Chennai Floods I was unable to make my payment on time for life insurance policy for my mother. Once a payment was made 2 months later a customer service representative called in to say new medical is required due to delay in payment Irrespective of the flood situation that devastated the whole of Chennai.
On talking to the Aviva office the person was rude and spoke as if to either take the new medical or Lose the policy hanging up as nothing mattered.
After 9 years of being a sincere customer and holding multiple policies with AVIVA it was embarrassing to see AVIVA discriminate senior citizens and get rid of them if a small delay happens even in the worst calamity. They are shutting down many of their offices and the closest office is 200-350 Kms away to approach for closing.
This is disappointing act of AVIVA.
