My policy was expiring on 09/09 and I was not informed about the changes in the sales tax. I paid my dues online on time with the old sales tax. After 2 weeks they called my agent notifying that I need to pay 50 to 100 rupees extra due to the increase in sales tax.
I agreed to pay that difference, but the interesting thing is they asked me to pay close to 2000 rupees, the reason for that was my due date had crossed. Even after requesting multiple times the staff was very rude they told me that we are very strict in due dates. What stupid organization. Fell pray because of helping a relative who is a agent. Now ending up paying all these high sales taxes(14%) and also huge fines for some stupid reason. Never get into Aviva life insurance.
