I had been looking for an investment with good returns. finally based on the research and analysis settled with Aviva iGrowth plan(NNU75584140). The plan looked promising and hence I decided to purchase the same. I wanted to do this investment on behalf of my spouse. while I purchased the plan, I had paid the premium from my credit card not knowing that the requirement was that the payment should be from policy holders account/card.
Since then, I have been following up with Aviva for close to a month now to help me complete the formalities and issue the policy. I got my credit card refund after 3 weeks. Now they have my cheque payment for over a week. Sadly, the policy is still isnt issued. May be, mine could be one of the case which got dragged this far. however, what was the most disappointing experiences for me was the lack of communication or followup, negligence towards concerns or issues raised and delay in issuing the policy.
I was very much interested in the iGrowth plan but now this 1 month experience makes me think, will Aviva value their relationship with customer, will they address any future customer needs/concerns. At this stage, I am not very comfortable to get into long term relationship with Aviva hence have requested for canceling my policy.
Surprisingly, its been 3 days since I have requested for cancellation and their hasn't been any inquiry or followup with me from Aviva asking for cancellation reason.
I am sharing this feedback with a hope that Aviva will not show such negligence or ignorance towards their customers.
