Interesting reviews here, so I thought I’d share my own experience with Automart....

I’m a young executive, and recently was looking to sell my car (2003 Zen). My priorities were price,

transparency, and service. I did the usual - went through brokers, spoke with my local garage, and also my Maruti Dealer (Spectra). I had also heard of Automart through a friend. I decided to try them too, as the others were unable to match price or service.

I spoke with Mr. Zareer at Automart’s Goregaon branch, and he fixed an appointment to evaluate my car. I was impressed by his speed  - he evaluated the car the next day (I’m based in Chembur), and after a 15 min inspection, offered me a price. Though the price matched that of a broker, I liked that Automart was offering cheque payments, and would ensure that documentation was properly transferred to the new owner, and the transaction would be “clean.” So I went with them. The cheque reached me 3 days later, Zareer picked up the car, and about 45 days therein all documents were transferred to the new owner. Overall a satisfactory transaction, and I was pleased with the process.

 

I wish more corporates would enter these various areas, and organize them the way Automart has done for the used car industry. I recommend them to others who may want to SELL their cars. Two thumbs up.
