There are many things which they lied to me including,
People with average more than 60% are eligible to sit for the placement interviews and there are at least a 100 guys each year who don't make it, so its a lie anyway.
Its just few IT companies which comes here. None of the other branches get any placements. Forget about Mechanical.
- Futuristic Infrastructure
They don't even have working drinking water dispensers. The first building looks like it was made in the 18th century. To hide the ugliness they are renovating the outs with wooden looking like finish. Fun part is that it still looks ugly. I had a talk with the principal. Although he boasts placements and his teaching staff, it seems to be fake.
They don't have a properly made parking space. They have a gate but there is no border walls, so anybody can enter or exit the college anytime. Once a dog entered our class in the 2nd floor during a running class.
They have their computer department full with computers made two decades ago with plastic chairs. Most computers don't work or don't run the desired applications
Practical tools are very few in number so you have to share with at least 10 more people. Its a headache.
They do not have even one playground. Sports is discouraged.
I am over 240% disappointed in this topic. They charge over 70, 000 Rs for a "Shared" Room+|Only| South Indian Mess. So, you will be paying nearly 6, 000 Rs each month for a "Shared" Room with bad food. Its better to rent an apartment, would be much less costly.
They do give free tea and snacks though.
I felt like there is no administration. Teachers are free to do whatever they want. Heaven for teachers though.
Its disappointing that they have lecturers with bad communication skills, especially in Mechanical Department.
Most lecturers are repetitive, reciting their own notes each year. They do not focus on innovation and creativity. I found a few lecturers very arrogant and egoistic. Sometimes they "punish" students with removing their attendance for a fair amount of days. Basically they wanna fail you cuz you ignored them. Just one or two are good enough at behaviour.
If you wanna come here to "learn", please do not come. Its only a place for mug and dump. You gotta mug up all the notes given by lecturers and dump them in the internals.
If you are genuinely working student, you will end up with "Assignments" and all the lecturers will give the students assignments at same time, unlike one after the other, all at once. The lecturers do not co-operate with this even for 1%. Moreover, you've got extra marks if you do the assignments only if you could do it.
Last semester I had 4 subjects of which nearly 40% of syllabus left untaught. We literally had to wield two bricks of metal with no experience. Can you imagine you lose marks cuz your teacher never taught you an essential topic?
You get a 15 min pee break and a 45 min lunch break. I am ok with the pee break but 45 for lunch is absurd. If you got even one job to do like get a signature from your principal, you won't be having your lunch cuz you won't be having enough time. More like, submitting Assignment, Xerox. It becomes a rush and so I didn't rest. Then I would feel like sleeping. Its natural.
You are not supposed to roam around during class times. There is literally no place you can sit outside and hang with your friends in the campus. There is nothing to do in the campus when not in class except library if you are a nerd.
