Pros:
a serial which depicts real emotions
Cons:
none till date

Astitva- a TV serial with a difference! ’’Different’’ is a fashion statement these days. If you ask a David Dhawan or a Sunny Deol or a Ekta Kapoor for any of their ’’master-pieces’’
the bottom line that you will get is - ’its different;...’haatke’ type...and need less to say, once you gather courage to see any of these ’’haatkes’’ in no time you realize this is the time to loose contact with your seats.

No, if a David Dhawan or a Ekta Kapoot is different Astitva is not...on the other hand this is very much familiar story... closer to our heart and sole...simply because it has characters who are of flesh and blood...simply because it does not have characters who try to portray the most innocent girl in the world with an unworldly specs and dress up who is the most intelligent person the company to save it from its downfall but does doesnt have the common senseto understand that her Boss is using her...simply because it does not have a beautiful housewife (who is often similar age of her daughter) who went on committing murder and marries five times and even portrays a’’ Hindustani (progressive?) lady whose kahani is the kahani ghar ghar ki.....

Astitya is the story of real life characters and real emotions. The protagonist is Dr. Simran who is fighting an eternal war called life in her own way. The Director’s and the storyteller’s skills in portraying each characters- their emotions, experience and psycho is extremely unique and always brings a changing fresh air in traffic of Ekta Kapoors.

A real artist (which the Director is) does not have to take help of melodrama and supernatural atmosphere to depict his/her philosophy, it comes out automatically out of the real and normal situations and actors doesn?t have to shed crocodile tears or run with knife to show their mental status --its their spontaneous reaction to the situation which makes audience feel.

When Simian?s eyes cry looking at the new couple -her ex-husband Avi and Neha, her face smiles and so does that of the audiences’. Her discussion, argument with her father and unadulterated love for him reminds every audience their day-to-day life. So it does not take pain to identify yourself with the protagonist and together we can say.... O? rain wet my outer and inner both And drop them into the river That crosses the vales, the woods, the lands to meet the sea -My childhood, my adult hood and the eternity? Playing with the heart In blissful pleasure ? forever? forever.

Pros : a serial which depicts real emotions
Cons: refreshing and entertaining
