THIS IS THE MESSAGE I SENT TO ASIAN PAINTS - AS EXPECTED DID NOT GET ANY REPLY.

Let me share my terrible experience with your Home Solutions Department. I had contacted your Home Solutions service for painting my house and was contacted by a Sales person. a. The advice given by your sales person was to go for Royale Paint, as it had all the best properties etc etc. b. The sales person also adviced me that we need NOT use 'putti' as the walls were good and it would also not add up to the cost. c. Based on the above two points, the contract was signed for a particular amount. d. The painting date was fixed for the 26th Dec, ie is today. The work started with a hitch, as sales person called me up this morning and said that he was unable to get the painters and thus would not be able to start the work. After my protest, that it was a committed date and that I had taken a day off from Office, he agreed to get someone and start the painting.
The painters came and started the work and after an hour, the contractor came and on his inspection told me that he would not be able to use 'ROYALE PAINT' as the wall surface had brush marks. Subsequently, the sales person came with a Paint Technologist who after inspecting the walls also agreed with the contractor that it was NOT OK and would not be able to give proper finish on using this product AND THAT PUTTI WOULD HAVE TO BE APPLIED. Thus my cheques were returned to me and the contractor sent across his persons to take back his material. Subsequently, I spoke to your Unit Head who was just trying to justify that they did not take up work and were polite with the customers in telling them the facts and thus returned the cheques. ALL THIS WOULD BE OK, IF THEY HAD MADE IT CLEAR BEFORE SIGNING THE CONTRACT. My queries are :a. Why send a person to advice and contract with the customer when he is not qualified. b. After contracting for a particular amount, how do you expect the customer to pay additional amount. I AM SURE AFTER THIS TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, I WOULD NOT USE ASIAN PAINTS, NOR WOULD I SUGGEST THIS TO ANYONE. I have a few suggestions........ a. Please train the field staff, so that they give the right advice to the customers. b. Let the Sales guy be accompanied by a person who knows MORE about painting - it may be a good idea to send the paint technologist or the contractor himself ( atleast in one look, the paint contractor would know if he can use a particular paint or not ) NOT AFTER THE WORK HAS STARTED AND THEN THE WORK IS STOPPED.
